College MinistriesCollege Women's Discipleship House State University at Buffalo University Heights, Buffalo, NY Purpose Statement: The Women’s Discipleship House is designed to be a “home away from home” for female Christian students to live, where they would have Christian fellowship and be able to interact with other believers. Any woman interested in living in the house/apartment should have a desire to grow in her personal walk with Christ. During her stay, her knowledge and understanding of God’s word and her knowledge of Christ should always be increasing. The women who live here should recognize and accept living by the authority, discipline and reproof of the Word of God. Residents of the Women’s Discipleship House need to be unselfish, cooperative, thoughtful and considerate of all others in the house in order to maintain an atmosphere of Christian love. The atmosphere needs to be one in which the Holy Spirit can work and fulfill His purposes in and through the house. Residents need to be willing to submit to delegated authority and change habits for the functioning of the house. The House: The Women’s Discipleship House is not simply a place to live, but a place for “iron to sharpen iron,” for Biblical fellowship, for women to be raised up as women of integrity who are ready to lead, disciple and continue to grow. Three students of very diverse background and culture have committed a full academic year to live together and know Christ. Through Weekly devotions, one on one accountability meeting with the house mother (Lisa M. Kragbe`), growing accountability relationship with each other, regular church attendance and involvement, and with outreach and service to the neighborhood/ community as a house, will have their lives transformed as they become disciple of Christ. Prayer Request: Continues growth together as a family For the young ladies to have a spirit of brokenness and humility as Christ renews them. For the Word of God to come to life like never before. For increase love, faith and trust in the Lord. For the release of spiritual bondage and obstacle that prevent us to have Holy Communion with God. For grace, joy and peace to fill our hearts.
